Urban engineering is a study that seeks to make our society a more livable environment through planned development and management of cities, the center of modern life. Various problems related to population, land, environment, social pathology, and transportation are complex in cities, which are the main settlement spaces of modern society. Chungbuk National University's Department of Urban Engineering is establishing a multidisciplinary education system based on basic knowledge in various fields from social and economic aspects such as urban planning and transportation, real estate, spatial environment, urban design, and construction-related fields such as architecture and civil engineering in order to comprehensively identify various problems facing the city and seek solutions. The basic educational goal of Chungbuk National University's Department of Urban Engineering is to foster students as quality planning experts and engineers who can plan and manage urban spaces and related facilities in the public or private sector, including administrative institutions, research institutes, consulting and construction companies.
