Department of Chemical Engineering
Introduction
Chemical engineering is a study that applies basic scientific knowledge such as chemistry, physics, and mathematics about natural phenomena to industrialize for the benefit of human civilization.
Chemical engineering is an academic field that aims to research and develop important fields such as environment and energy, as well as the chemical industry, which plays a central role in the refining and petrochemical industry, synthetic fiber, synthetic rubber, plastics, fine chemical industry (medicine, general medicine, dyes, pigments, paints, adhesives, rubber additives, catalysts, photographic materials, etc.) In particular, chemical engineering seeks to systematically rescue and rationally interpret manufacturing chemistry or process engineering by utilizing basic knowledge such as chemistry and mathematics. As part of the fundamental method of identifying this, unit processes, which deal with specific chemical reactions centered on reactions and devices common to chemical plants, unit operations, which deal with more frequent physical processing, unit engineering, which deals with the design and analysis of reactors, and reaction engineering, which aims to design and analyze reactors, are studied.
